Last Saturday a girl messaged me. She was one of my opponents in a Chess tournament I played a long time ago. (After the tournament, she asked for my mobile number; and I was surprised to see her use it after such a long time.) I was, of course, pleased to talk to her after such a long time.
After some chatting, she asked if she can call me. Me being an introvert, the idea of the voice call quickly overwhelmed me. After some thinking, I gave a lazy excuse of college assignments and we decided to talk on a call on Monday.
So, on Monday I started texting her about the call. And she started ignoring me, leaving my texts on “seen.” Meanwhile she was playing at Lichess! I didn’t get even a simple “I am busy” (which would take 15 seconds to type).
After 2 days, I blocked her. I am not going to deal with a person who lacks basic communication decency. Chivalry is seriously dead!
